This is an early alpha stage version of K-9. It has been tested by three admins who are good friends of mine, and they all both liked it and pointed out some issues I am working on right now. Thanks a lot guys! ;-)"

The keyboard issue occured because I accidently forgot to delete the customized keymap (which was set to my german keyboard layout) in /etc before I created the first ISO. Sorry for that. This issue was fixed in Beta1 (among with lots of other bugs like the broken links for wbar), and I added a few extra tools I made.

If all runs well, I'll be able to upload the next version of K-9 in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

I had the same problem with the key board....until i realized I had to run the keyboard setup and switch to US qwerty layout...Find the keyboard setup wizard in the main menu "setup" mouse/keyboard wizard.

i am new to Linux, after a month of burning and producing coasters (about 9 distros) of different light weight Linux including puppy 4 , i downloaded and installed k-9 version 413. i love it this is what i have been looking for a neat and clean Linux. I have few problems

1) strange it may seem my keyboard is not recognized properly e.g key y is z, and key z is y, key - is \, key \ dosnt have anything. and so on

2)i have done a full install on my 1GB partition 3 ext3, part 1 is windows, part 2 is Linux swap. how to upgrade to latest version of K-9 if any
